Megan Keely and Probosci perform live on The Hear and Now, 10 p.m., Thursday, June 21

Tune in for another double-header of live music from the KPFA performance studio: First up, San Francisco-based Filipino-American singer-songwriter Megan Keely. Her new album, Bloom, “is Keely’s contribution to the national fight against abuses of power. Keely turns fear and uncertainty into unflinching beauty and empowerment with her new collection of original songs.” Watch the video of the lead single, “Stronger,” below.

In the second hour, you’ll hear the instrumental music of (and learn how to pronounce) Probosci–the duo of guitarist Gyan Riley and violinist Timba Harris (photo by Chris Tompkins), fresh off their performances at the UC Botanical Garden and the Garden of Memory walk-through concert at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland. Derk Richardson hosts, and Tony Ferro engineers.
