Geoff Muldaur and Jim Kweskin perform live on the combined Bonnie Simmons Show / The Hear and Now, Thursday, Dec. 8

kweskin-muldaurAs program hosts Bonnie Simmons and Derk Richardson combine forces during the KPFA Winter Fund Drive, they present roots music legends Geoff Muldaur & Jim Kweskin, joined by fiddler/singer Suzy Thompson, live in the KPFA studio, with Tony Ferro engineering. Cohorts since the early 1960s and the heyday of Jim Kweskin & the Jug Band, Muldaur and Kweskin reunited for a brilliant new album, “Penny’s Farm,” loaded with traditional material and brilliant vocal, guitar, and banjo performances. Derk interviewed Geoff and Jim for an article that appeared in a recent issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine. Derk and Bonnie will pick it up from there, as Muldaur and Kweskin get ready for their Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse concert, Sunday, Dec. 11.
