Heaton wrote the book, “The Gospel of Self: How Jesus Joined the GOP.” Then we’ll turn to Elizabeth Esther whose book Spiritual Sobriety: Stumbling Back To Faith When Good Religion Goes Bad, covers the addictive nature of organized religion.
