The Cosby Sentencing and Kavanaugh Hearings

NORRISTOWN, PA – APRIL 26: Bill Cosby walks after it was announced a verdict is in at the Montgomery County Courthouse for day fourteen of his sexual assault retrial on April 26, 2018 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. A former Temple University employee alleges that the entertainer drugged and molested her in 2004 at his home in suburban Philadelphia. More than 40 women have accused the 80 year old entertainer of sexual assault. (Photo by Mark Makela/Getty Images)

Bill Cosby has been sentenced to 3-10 years in prison for multiple counts of sexual assault and rape. The sentencing took place the same week that accusations of sexual assault have been swirling around Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. On our show today, attorney and Yale Law School alumnus Lisa Bloom will join us to make links between the two stories. Then, well turn to Erin Quinn of the Immigrant Legal Resource Center to discuss Homeland Securitys new proposed rule curbing green cards for immigrants who partake of public assistance. Quinn will explain how such proposals are intended to invoke fear among immigrant communities. Hosted by Sonali Kolhatkar.
