Ahead of the G7 summit in Quebec, the US’s allies are livid over Donald Trump’s newly launched trade war that he began with tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. Canada, the European Union, and Mexico have all promised retaliatory tariffs that could impact the US economy. On our show today we’ll turn to economist and political commentator Doug Henwood for more. Then, Stephen Vittoria, an award winning documentary filmmaker joins us. Vittoria is the co-author with Mumia Abu Jamal of a newly published book called Murder Incorporated: Dreaming of Empire. He’ll explain the scope of the book and Abu Jamal’s role from behind prison bars.
