Zimbabwe is facing a major political crisis with the recent house arrest by the military of the nation’s one and only president and dictator Robert Mugabe. On today’s show we’ll speak with a leading human rights activist Jenni Williams, with the group Women of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA), joining us from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Then we’ll examine what’s at stake politically with the scandal around Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore. Miranda Blue with People for the American Way will join us to discuss the accusations Moore faces from women, as well as whether sexual assault as a whole is finally being taken seriously. Finally, 16-year old Minnah Arshad joins us to discuss her new novel, Kindness is a Waiting Place: The life-changing encounter between an American woman and a Syrian boy.
