As long as there has been fascism there has been anti-fascists, argues our guest Mark Bray. He joins us for a conversation on ANTIFA: from Mussolini’s Italy to Germany’s Weimar Republic to Berkeley, California today.
Guest: Mark Bray, historian of human rights, terrorism, and political radicalism in modern Europe. He lectures at Dartmouth College and is the author of the book ANTIFA: The Anti-Fascist Handbook.
The only anti-fascism I support is that which non-violently prohibits one person from physically harming another person. I believe this because fascism, by definition, is simply a subset of one entity using force to attempt control over another entity. I believe the current threat and manifestation is corporate fascism. It’s global and it’s destroying the planet.
