Elfie is an historic figure. An ex-marine,who had been a labor reporter in Chicago, he came to Fresno in 1953 to edit the Valley Labor Citizen. He went on to document via photos, the farm worker movement, the UFW and social justice movements. George, a long time friend of KPFA and KFCF, often featured on local shows, has been seriously ill, and the doctors do not give George much longer. The show was produced by KPFA's sister station KFCF.
