Lebanon and Palestine under attack!:

The war on Lebanon has entered its third week. Having recently returned from Southern Lebanon, Dr. Zeina Zaatari interviews As’ad AbuKhalil, Professor of Political Science at the California State University at Stanislaus about the current situation in Lebanon and the possible implications locally and regionally of the Israel’s ongoing invasion of Lebanon.

Later in the program, we will bring you a commentary by UC Berkeley History Professor Beshara Doumani entitled "Qana Again: Stop this Madness."

Also on the program, Nadine Ghammache will have a conversation with Lebanese-American poet Elmaz Abinader about "Cease Fire: Words and Music Against the Siege of Lebanon and Palestine", an event scheduled to take place at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, August 9th at the La Peña Cultural and Community Center in Berkeley.

During the program, we will listen to musical selections from legendary Lebanese singer Fairouz, and the song "Ya Ali" by internationally renowned Lebanese singer and Oud player Marcel Khalife.
