Join Malihe and Khalil for this week’s program, during which, we will first hear the first part of a two-part interview on Syria’s Political situation with political science professor, Dr. Bassam Haddad of St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia conducted by History Professor Beshara Doumani of UC Berkeley. Later in the program, we will hear the first part of a two part series on the music of Gnawa Diffusion and the inspiration behind this prominent Algerian band led by Amazigh Kateb. We will also briefly commemorate the Berber spring Uprising in Algeria with local Amazigh musician Moh Alileche.
