Guest host Joel Sachs presents a two hour special featuring music from, about or inspired by the Civil Rights Movement for African-American History Month. The music ranges from recordings made by Civil Rights workers themselves to material by close sympathizers/collaborators like the Staple Singers, Nina Simone and Pete Seeger to musical commentary by blues, gospel, soul, folk, jazz and rock artists like J.B. Lenoir, Albertina Walker, The Neville Brothers, Joan Baez, John Coltrane, and the Rascals.
